Case study
Holly Matthews is an actress, self-development coach and author. She started her career as a child actress in Byker Grove and has also starred in Waterloo Road and Casualty. Holly launched ‘The Happy Me Project’ in 2017, aiming to help people feel “more happy and less crappy”. The Happy Me Project offers online membership, workshops, a podcast, and is now a number 1 bestselling book.
Why Awesomesauce?
Holly had some fantastic ideas on how she wanted to expand The Happy Me Project’s offering. As a friend of Awesomesauce, she got in touch seeking help to define her business strategy and marketing plan.
Awesomesauce Marketing helped me get my sh*t together.
Adding Some Sauce
Holly had a clear vision. She knew where she wanted to be but wasn’t sure how to get there. An initial workshop helped us to clarify these ambitions and piece together specific strategic objectives, that would steer her in the direction of her goal. Each objective was then prioritised into a realistic timing plan designed to achieve results.
As part of her objectives, Holly wanted to separate her social and paid membership activity. We suggested an alternative brand style and colour palette to differentiate the two and enhance the paid activity as a premium service.
Since working with Holly, she has successfully launched her now bestselling book, The Happy Me Project, with appearances on Lorraine, the BBC, Talk Radio and in national press and magazines.
