Cheeky! Malibu Launches Ad With Tom Daley
Did you see the latest ad from Malibu?
The rum-based tipple has partnered with Olympic diving legend Tom Daley to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking near water and the risk of drowning.
Their saucy ‘Don’t Drink and Dive’ campaign features Daley enjoying a Malibu in the sunshine with Rupert Holmes’ ‘Escape (The Piña Colada Song)’ playing in the background, before stripping off to a pair of knitted trunks and having second thoughts as the ad reveals the shocking stat that 1 in 4 UK drownings involve alcohol.
The ad supports the Royal Life Saving Society and was created by Wieden+Kennedy London.
A cheeky ad to convey an important message? It’s a thumbs up from us.
