63% of B2B Tech Buyers Look to Short-Form Social Videos

Are you using short-form social videos as part of your social strategy? If not, you could be missing a trick.

Research from LinkedIn has found that 63% of 1,700 B2B tech buyers surveyed said short-from social video content from industry experts “helps inform buying decisions”. The majority also said that videos from industry experts are one of the most trusted formats and create awareness of products.

Before you start filming, keep in mind another LinkedIn study which found that 81% of B2B video ads fail to gain attention or drive recall. How can you make your ads stand out and ensure brand recall?

Time for Another Bite of the Cookie?

If, like us, you can’t keep up with the latest cookie updates from Google, here’s the latest…

With Google introducing a one-off opt-in model to their Chrome browser in 2025, 38% of British consumers are likely to opt out, says research from Apply Digital. A further 22% are undecided meaning marketers could lose out on up to 50% of their third-party data from Chrome next year when the changes kick in.

But no need to panic – there are still opportunities for marketers and with our clients we’re discussing how they can maximise the use of first-party data by adapting their strategy.

Ready to revisit your strategy in light of the changes? Drop our Strategy Director James an email on james@awesomesaucemarketing.co.uk to find out how we could help.

Nike Hits Us Where it Hurts!

Did you see Nike’s latest ad? Their ‘Stairs’ video is part of their ‘Winning Doesn’t Always Feel Like Winning’ campaign.

The 30-second TVC kicks off to the soundtrack of ‘Love Hurts’ by Nazareth and features a variety of people struggling to get down the stairs or sit down, before a narrative dedicates the track to “everyone who ran the marathon yesterday – hope you’re doing ok out there”. It ends with the reminder that ‘WINNING ISN’T COMFORTABLE’.

It’s reminiscent of leg day at the gym, and I can feel my quads screaming with memories of past gym sessions just by watching!

Relatable? Funny? Inspiring? Classic rock ballad? This one ticks all the boxes. An easy choice for us for the winner of our Campaign of the Week!
